Steps to a Successful Sale

In-person Consultation

Our sale process begins with a FREE in-person consult, typically 7-14 days before the sale, where we will create a plan-of-action by reviewing the items up for sell, take photos of top items for web advertising, determine pricing of items and estimate the total project hours.

Preparation

We will sort, clean, tag + price, and repack items into labeled bins or boxes, place clothes on hangers, and tag all furniture and large items. We will also provide a drawn suggested layout of items to maximize exposure and sale potential.

Promote

We will advertise your sale through the Internet, marketplace apps, newspaper listings, our email list and blog followers. **Any cost of advertisting, i.e. classified newspaper listing, will be billed to the client.

Setup & Display

We will supply tables, tablecloths, tents, table signs, balloons, clothing racks, staked yard signs, and street/pole signs. We also bring ice cold bottled water on hot days and hot chocolate, coffee and warm donuts on cooler days at no charge (Residential sales only). We will setup and arrange items in a categorized and stylish way to create the most appealing and functional sales environment.

Sale Day

On the day of your sale, we will help with interaction between your personal possessions and members of your community. Typical sale hours are Saturday and/or Sunday from 9AM-2PM. Setup time generally starts at 7AM and clean up lasts an hour after the sale.

After Sale Care

We'll haul away one (1) car load of donations to a local charity or non-profit for a tax deductible donation receipt. For bigger loads, we can help connect you to clean up service companies that will pick up your larger donations. We can also help you setup listings on OfferUp and LetGo - the leading online marketplace apps - that will allow you to post listings for items you'd still like to sell after the yard sale.

Rates

PREPARATION

This service is great for people who just need help organizing and pricing their belongings, but want to keep their cost low and take on the promotion and staffing of the sale day. Prep can take between 4-8 hours or more depending on the amount of items in the sale. We provide labeled boxes, pricing stickers, a garage sale checklist and a clean out worksheet to help you identify what to keep, sell, trash, or donate.

$350($50/hour after 8 hours)

PRE-ORGANIZE

With our Pre-Organize service, we'll help you prep and promote your sale. All you need to do on the day of your sale is hang posters in your neighborhood, hang up any clothes and set the items out for sale using the provided drawn layout. We provide labeled boxes, pricing stickers. and yard sale posters (15 max).

$400 - (includes Prep and Promo Fees)

ORGANIZE + STAFF

Our full service package allows us to run the show utilizing our professional organization expertise, pricing and negotiation skills, and sophisticated marketing techniques. All you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the proceeds at the end of the sale!

$400 + 25% of sales commission fee or $250/day, whichever is greater.

 

For the Organize + Staff service, we provide the following supplies & materials:
  • 3 Banquet tables
  • White tablecloths
  • 2 Tents (for warm weather)
  • Stylish table signs
  • 2 Clothing racks
  • Cash box
  • Pricing stickers
  • Balloons
  • Staked yard signs
  • Street/pole signs
  • Hot beverages & donuts or cold water
 

*If additional supplies are required (i.e. tables, tents, clothing racks), we can arrange for equipment rental with a local company. Client will be responsible for all rental costs.
